CONCEPT
I'm intrigued by the story and I want more! This trailer sets up a compelling narrative with just enough details to hook an audience and not give away much of the plot.
DESIGN
In a landscape where many animated features lean on a recycled Disney-like style, the character and environment design for The Carrier is refreshingly different. The color grade is simple, leaning heavily on cool tones and using bright warm tones as accents.
The trailer can get away with a lot of random shots that provide more questions than answers. Here are a few of my favorites:
This trailer inspires me. There aren't crazy creative transitions or photorealistic renderings because that's not the point. The Carrier is a compelling story concept that is visually satisfying and delightfully mysterious.
